Customizability is a big advantage of the Tata Winger Ambulance. To meet specific needs, one can choose to add select features for Patient Transport, Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support.
These include fittings like a wash basin with foot-operated tap and water dispenser of 5 litre capacity, a hat-rack with sliding glass that provides additional storage space, 270-degree outward opening rear doors fitted with glass windows and a positive locking arrangement (magnetic type). The portable steel dustbins with spring-loaded lids help with smooth waste disposal and maintaining cleanliness or hygiene standards inside the van and around the patient. Two sliding glass windows in the patient compartment are placed in for cross ventilation.
Beyond a basic mobile medical unit, the Tata Winger can be made into a Critical Care Unit or Advanced Life Support Ambulance. The van provides the option of a foldable doctor's seat as well as a squad bench to seat 4 persons and internal storage space for an extrication kit. Furthermore, one can add a grab rail, IV hooks, oxygen delivery system with integrated piping and outlets on side walls, besides pressure regulators and humidifiers. To ensure the right kind of care for modern health issues, one can add in a pull-out type storage trolley for two D-type O2 cylinders. Reinforced side wall with provision for fitment of optional medical equipment like ventilator, defibrillator, AED, vital signs monitor and more.
